Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account: email, display name, avatar if you add one, sign-in method.
• Usage: your questions, chats, projects, uploaded files, which library pages you read, and the token counts each answer used. Token counts drive your allowance.
• Billing: Razorpay order and payment ids, amount, currency, the state you select for the GST invoice, and the email your receipt goes to. Card and UPI details stay with Razorpay; we never see them.
• Technical: IP address, browser, and cookies for your session, your currency and region in the app, and, on proux.design only and only if you allow it, Google Analytics. No advertising trackers.

Why

To run the service, meter your allowance, take payments and send receipts, keep the service secure, and, only if you ask for it, send the ProUX email.

ProUX sends an occasional email about new UX patterns and what we have published. It is not automated and it is not daily. It goes only to people who asked for it when they bought or in Settings, and every one carries a one-click unsubscribe that takes effect immediately.

Who processes it

• Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Razorpay (payments), Resend (transactional email).
• AI providers that generate answers: Anthropic, Google and OpenAI. Your prompt and the library passages it cites are sent to them under their API terms.

We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Analytics and cookies

• Change your mind any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. You are asked again on your next visit, and again whenever this policy changes.
• When you choose Accept or Reject we keep a record of it: what you chose, when, which version of this policy you saw, and a random identifier stored in the cookie. That identifier is pseudonymous, not anonymous: it carries no name, email or account, but while the cookie is in your browser it can be linked back to your own choices. We keep these records for as long as we rely on the consent, so that we can show what you agreed to and when.
• The app at ask.proux.design sets proux_currency and proux_region without asking, so the checkout can price in your currency and put the right state on a GST invoice. They carry no identifier and are not used to track you. The website at proux.design sets neither.
• ProUX also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which count page views and page speed without cookies and without identifying anyone.

The website at proux.design uses Google Analytics to see which pages people read and which links they use. It is off until you allow it. Nothing is stored in your browser and no analytics cookie is set unless you choose Accept on the banner, and if you choose Reject, Google receives a signal that you said no and stores nothing.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser and records the pages you visit, roughly where you are from your IP address, and which site or ad sent you. We do not upload your email or any account detail to it.

The app at ask.proux.design carries no Google Analytics. It counts page views and page speed with the same cookieless Vercel tools the website uses, which set nothing in your browser and identify nobody.

How long, and your rights

We keep your data while your account exists. Write to us to see, correct or delete it, or to close the account. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and the same switch is in Settings.

The email you enter at checkout creates your account and receives your receipt. We keep it while the account exists. Close the account and it goes with it. Payment records we keep for as long as Indian tax law requires.
